Born in 2000, Hiroto Ikebe is an artist and textile designer based in Japan, and the founder of atelier alt.formula. He graduated from the Textile Design Course, Department of Product Design at Tama Art University, and studied as an exchange student at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Guided by the concept of “Material Archaeology,” his practice explores traces and memories embedded in materials, developing experimental works across art, spatial design, and textiles. He is currently affiliated with a contemporary art studio, where he is engaged in the production of artworks and material research, and is involved in international museum projects.
