Photographer

Born in 1992, based in Tokyo. Working across commercial and art fields. Focusing on the particularities of Japanese culture and aesthetics, creating works that incorporate commercial imagery and artificial motifs. Winner of the Grand Prize at the KASSEL DUMMY AWARD 2020, with the award-winning photobook Tofu-Knife subsequently published. Solo exhibitions include Tofu-Knife (SKWAT twelvebooks/warehouse, Tokyo, 2021). Selected group exhibitions include BOOK_SPACES (Museum Für Fotografie Braunschweig, Germany, 2023) and Boogie Woogie Art Museum (Ulsan Art Museum, South Korea, 2023).
