He is 4th-generation leader of Morisho. His work spans the entire forest-to-living value chain, including forest management, logging, sawmilling, traditional Japanese decorative timber, furniture and wood products, as well as forest education. Under the concept “Connecting Forests and Everyday Life,” he is developing new ways to sustain regional forests while creating greater value from local timber. He also collaborates with companies, architects and local communities through forest tours, educational programs and projects that connect forestry, architecture and design.
